Terra Osterling brings more than a decade of freelance writing experience serving a diverse range of nonprofits and businesses. Connecting people—and truly connecting with people—is an important part of her storytelling process and way of life. In this way she provides collaborative support for clients as they work towards creating more for their own communities.

​

She uses creative problem-solving, a discerning ear for details, and an organic approach to interviewing to develop engaging and brand-aligned copy across a spectrum of industries, services, and topics. She has worked in long form and short form for digital and print, including for newsletters, feature articles, human interest profiles, website content, internal and external business communication, product descriptions, executive biographies, flyers, brochures, and email campaigns. Her clients have included a Finger Lakes winery, a mid-sized engineering firm, colleges and universities, specialty retailers, service providers, community resource nonprofits, professionals, consultants, local newspapers, and a national magazine.

Terra has fulfilled a number of volunteer roles with Rochester Women’s Network, serving on the Board, the marketing committee, and the DEIB committee.

​

Terra earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in History with a minor in English from Elmira College. Her successful and diverse prior career experiences at a museum, a law firm, and a commercial real estate brokerage provide her with unique insight to copywriting for diverse purposes and audiences. She is a native of Rochester, New York, an avid reader, avowed introvert, sometime rave-dancer, equity advocate, comic book enthusiast, tea-sipper, change conjuror, and aspiring Jedi knight.
